Head of Computer Science

 

The role

We are looking to recruit a full-time Head of Computer Science at Hartshill School. The post will be for 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

Ensure high quality teaching and learning, achievement, and progress of students in the subject area.

Strategically lead and co-ordinate curriculum development. Raising standards across the relevant subject area. Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the relevant subject area. To ensure that all staff teaching in the relevant subject area are supported to deliver according to the Academy’s vision, including those who are covering for an absent colleague.

 

Experience

Understanding of relevant professional and subject pedagogy. Successful teaching as demonstrated in student outcomes withing the subject area in Key Stages 3 and 4. Successful leadership of others in delivering student outcomes within the specified subject area.

Degree in Computer Science and OTS is essential.
